Can you pinpoint the exact moment you met a treasured friend? There are handful of people in my life that I can remember almost everything about our first meeting.
Lucy is one.
She was working for a non-profit that I wanted my non-profit to partner with. I wanted to create something new. I asked for a meeting and Lucy was my contact. She was kind, interested in our work and eager to find a way to make a difference in the world…together. And we did.
I worked for The Milk Bank marketing our services and need for donations and Lucy worked for the Indiana Blood Center. Lucy and I worked closely to make a network of donation depots inside Blood Bank locations throughout the state. A partnership unlike anything else in the country thanks to Lucy.
We’ve both since moved on but I’m dang proud of the work we did together and I’m honored that when the time came for her to have a family, she’s trusted me to document all these babies.
I’m especially in love with the very real unposed lifestyle approach Lucy wanted to for this session. It will give these kids a look into their early lives and Lucy a chance to revisit the past. I’m thankful to have photographed all these of these kiddos and hope to continue to see them grow!
Are you looking to document you life? Lifestyle sessions are a great way to build an album to share with your kids. Lifestyle images have played an important role in my life – I’ll never remember the toys I had as a kid but I remember looking at photos that have them in the background or images of my mom rocking me to sleep. I’m so thankful that my dad bought a camera to document our life and instill in me a love to memory making.
